When Dick Wilson founded Wilson Plumbing Company in Kansas City, Missouri back in 1946, the goal was simple: perform
quality residential plumbing, water and sewer repair work. Achieve that goal, Wilson was sure, and success would take care of itself.
More than 50 years later, the status of Wilson Plumbing Company today plainly illustrates that Dick Wilson took the right approach to starting and then managing his business.
Though much has changed over that time span, today Wilson Plumbing Company still adheres to that same old-fashioned, modest and low-key approach first established by the company's founder 60 years ago. The benefits of that approach are now quite
evident.
Now specializing almost exclusively in heavy-type sewer and water work (both repair and initial construction), Wilson Plumbing Company is regarded today as one of the top firms of its type in the greater Kansas City area. Nearly all of the top general contracting and engineering firms working in the region regularly request the company to bid and perform on their projects.
Mr. Wilson, who passed away last year as a result of an auto accident, was surely and rightfully proud of the success his company attained over the years - including being selected as the American Public Works Association's "National Contractor of the Year" in 1994!
Both big and small, modest but proud, this Kansas City, Missouri based utility contractor has much to celebrate - and much to thank Dick Wilson for.
